The company COBI manufactured a collector's model of the German battleship Gneisenau from the Second World War in a scale 1:300. The model consists of 2,417 elements and measures 81 cm in length. It accurately represents the dimensions of the historical ship and includes all essential elements, such as the armor. The ship was involved in Operation Berlin 1941 (Atlantic), which was a famous pirate rally in the Atlantic with the battleships Hinhorst and Gneisenau.
Graf Zeppelin is the only aircraft carrier in Germany's history. Construction began on December 28, 1936 in Kiel. However, work was halted in 1943, despite 90% completion, due to the withdrawal of all major units after the battle for the Barents Sea. The aircraft carrier was then transported to Stettin, where useful equipment was dismantled. Construction was never completed, and in early 1945, the aircraft carrier was partially sunk and shot by artillery in fear of the advancing Red Army.
The Cobi set includes two models: 4835 Battleship Gneisenau and 4826 Aircraft Carrier Graf Zeppelin. Please note that this set is not suitable for children under 36 months, as it contains small parts that can be swallowed.
